<p>NEW MATERIAL:The 22-carboxyl vitamin D3 compound of formula I(R1 and R2 are H or OH). EXAMPLE:22-Carboxyl-24, 25-dihydroxycholecalciferol. USE:A compound having the activity of vitamin D3. A hapten for the preparation of the antibody used in the determination of a vitamin D3 derivative in blood, such as 24,25-dihydrocholecalciferol, by enzyme immunoassay. PROCESS:The objective compound is prepared by subjecting the 22-carboxylcholesta-5,7-diene compound of formula II (R'1 and R'2 are H, OH or protected OH; R3-R5 are H or protecting group) to the UV-light irradiation and thermal isomerization in an inert organic solvent, and if necessary, to the removal of the protecting groups.</p> |
