<p>The banana-shaped reflecting plate (4) is fixed on two adjacent spokes (3,3) near the rim (1) of the wheel. The plate is provided with holes (5,6) accommodating fixing elements (7) and the distance between these two assemblies is such that it coincides with the two adjacent spokes (3) originating from the same hub end. The distance thus selected prevents fixing of the plate in a position nearer to the hub. The position of the plate in the vicinity of the rim, i.e. the tyre ensures that the light reflected by the plate moves in a more distinct pattern due to the rotation of the bicycle wheel and presents a more easily recognisable signal for the approaching motor vehicle.</p> |
