Cornice stone on top of cellar wall - supports outer skin of cavity wall above without increasing cellar wall thickness

The support takes the weight of the outer skin of masonry under construction, without making the whole cellar wall excessively thick. It uses a projecting cornice stone under the double-skinned walling, in basic or special forms. The cavity walling is built up at max. thickness on the single-skimmed basement wall with no statically unnecessary thickness for the latter over its full height. Cast cantilevered blocks can also serve to construct a site concrete beam inside cornice stones.
