The sewer pipe cleaning system includes a high-pressure hosepipe led over a pulley rotatably mounted in a base frame, and then, partly lying against the pulley, into the open hole of the pipe being cleaned, the frame being detachably fastened to the mouth of this pipe. The base frame (17) has automatically swivelling spreader arms (21) mounted on it, fitting with force-locking effect against the mouth (8) of the pipe (5) being cleaned. Swivelling of the arm may be effected by a scissor-arm longitudinal guide-rod assembly (27,28) or by a fluid-driven piston-and-cylinder assembly.
