The glue-application equipment delivers the glue by compressed air via a standpipe from the original vessel to a valve, typically hand-operated. It has a hand-operated compressor (7), connected to the interior of the vessel (2), which fits in a rigid housing (9,10). The air is delivered into the vessel via a sealing sleeve (8) fitting round the standpipe (3) and of elastic material. The sleeve forms a non-return valve, past which the glue cannot escape. The compressor can be mounted directly on the equipment or connected to it by a hose, and can be of the hand-operated membrane type.
