PURPOSE:To press all parts of cooked rice food under uniform pressure even in the case of uneven filling of the rice, by holding one platen of a molding machine for pressed SUSHI or riceballs horizontal, and tilting the other suitably. CONSTITUTION:The upper platen 2 of a molding machine is mounted on the top of a machine frame 1, and the bottom platen 3 is provided to freely lift, lower and tilt. If a cooked rice (R) is unevenly filled in a female mold 8, the bottom platen 3 is lifted, and the protruded part of the rice (R) is pressed by a male mold 9 in a stopped state in contact with the bottom surface of the top platen 2. The female mold 8 receives the resistance at the part of the protruded rice (R) and the other part is not loaded. The left part of the platen 3 is lifted with the female 8 by further lifting the platen 3. The rice (R) is pressed almost throughout the total area thereof by further lifting the platen 3 in that state. |
