PURPOSE:To prevent the degradation in images owing to the insulation breakdown or the like by the concentration of corona discharge and improve durability by forming the two layers of which the lower layer consists of a cylindrical heat-shrinkable film layer and the upper layer consists of a coating type resin layer on an image holding member of an electrophotographic receptor. CONSTITUTION:A photocnductive layer is provided on a substrate such as Al cylinder, and a heat-shrinkable tube such as cylindrical polyester is put thereon and is heat-treated, whereby a heat-shrunk film layer is formed. Next, an upper layer is formed on this layer by a coating type resin forming network structure of photosetting type such as acrylic resins, urethane resins or epoxy resins. Or the upper layer coated with a solvent-soluble type thermoplastic resin of linear structure such as polyester resins, or polyvinyl chloride resins is provided. In this way, the photoconductive layer is protected and the image forming member of superior durability is obtained. |
