The arrangement is intended for securing an element, e.g. a cutting tool (2) or a workpiece to the end of a shaft (1) with uniform pressure. It comprises a disc (7) provided with an annular groove (12) facing the element and containing a projecting pressure ring (9) which is in contact (10) with the element whilst the annular groove space behind it is oil-filled. The disc may be pressurised towards the element by a nut (6) on screw thread (5) of a projection (4) of the end of the shaft or may itself have internal thread for this purpose. The groove may contain a back-up sealing ring (13).
