PURPOSE:To form a desired blank part at the tip of the paper on which a picture is copied, by providing a delaying circuit that delays the charger drive signal for the control signal system of a charger and then delaying with control the charging start time. CONSTITUTION:A blank part to be formed at the tip of the copy paper is set electricaly by providing a delaying circuit which can vary the delay time to the control signal system of a charger 7 that performs the charging to a photoreceptor. When the charger drive signal is supplied to an input buffer amplifier 21, the signal is delyaed by a prescribed period of time by the function of a CR integral network 25 and then delivered through an output buffer amplifier 29 to be supplied to a driving circuit 30. Thus the charger 7 is driven. This delayed time is equal to the blank part at the tip of the paper. The time of delay is set by varying a variable resistance 23. In such way, a blank part can be set in a short time along with the facilitated control. |
