COMPLEX DISPLAY

摘要

PURPOSE:To obtain a easy-to-see display irrespective of the external illuminance by combining a phosphor indication tube with a liquid crystal cell where the face glass of said display tube is employed as one electrode substrate. CONSTITUTION:An electron emission source or a filament 3 and a grid 4 for accelerating/controlling the electron beam are provided on an anode substrate 1 formed with a phosphor subsistance layer 2 then a face glass 5 is arranged through a spacer 6 to produce a fluorescent display tube. While a transparent electrode 9 for liquid crystal display pattern is formed on the face glass to arrange a pair electrode glass board 7 through a liquid crystal 8. When forming the display patterns of the phosphor display tube and the liquid cell visually in same manner, only the liquid crystal cell is operated when the external illuminance is high while only the fluorescent display tube is operated when it is low thereby the clear and easy-to-see display can be achieved continuously.
