The fuel supply system is for an internal-combustion engine running on fuel which is liquid at normal temperature and pressure. The portion of the fuel pipe handling the liquid fuel incorporates a preheater for the fuel. Heating can be effected by the heated coolant from the engine, at a point following, in the case of a diesel engine, the fuel filter. A heat exchanger raises the fuel temp. to at least 80 deg.C.
