PURPOSE:To stabilize a laser beam, by constituting so that a larger discharge current than a discharge current to be made to flow at the time of recording is made to flow for a prescribed time before recording of information is executed, and after that, the recording is started. CONSTITUTION:When an argon laser is being used, sometimes its output drops or stops several times or so per hour and extending over scores of tens to hundreds of microseconds. Said phenomenon, however, is prevented by making a 10-30% larger discharge current flow for 10-30min prior to start of recording, lowering it to a prescribed current, and after that, starting the recording. |
