An antifoaming compsn. for aqs. solutions or dispersion contains block copolymer contg. 10-60 (wt)%, pref. 15-30%, methylpolysiloxane and a polyoxyalkylene block contg>80% and up to 100% oxypropylene units. The compsn is formed by diluting the block copolymer with oils in the ratio up to 1/100 and with 0.2-7.5% of highly dispersed silici acid or Al2O3; the compsn may contain 2-10% nonionic emulsifiers of HLB 8-14, dissolved or dispersed in the agent. The antifoaming compsn is used conventionally eg. in the textile industry (in spinning bath), metal working emulsions, printing pastes, fermentation processes etc. |
