PURPOSE:To delete unnecessary part suitably and to transmit the information of effective part of an original to a receiver surely, by inhibiting the transfer to a memory for read-in signal from the first scanning point toward the main scanning direction of a solid state scanner to the specified scanning point. CONSTITUTION:A signal picked up at a solid-state scanner 6 is converted into white kor black binary value at a signal processing circuit 17, and a transfer start pulse is inputted to a sampling clock generating circuit 18 with a signal line 19 and the sampling clock is inputted from a signal line 20. The pulse and clock is inputted to an ineffective part setting circuit 24, a set signal is inputted to a circuit 24 from the signal line 16, the signal of the ineffective part set with the set lever is outputted to the signal line 25 and the output is applied to an AND gate 23 inputting the clock from the circuit 17. The output of the gate 23 controls a line buffer 21 inputting the video signal processed at the circuit 17 to delete the unnecessary part of the video signal transferred to a memroy. |
