PURPOSE:To enable measurement of only the width of the forefront pulse of an intermittent pulse train and to enable repeated measurement of a prescribed value at all times, by latching a count value of a measuring pulse at the rise and fall of the intermittent pulse train. CONSTITUTION:When a change of level occurs in the intermittent pulse train B to be measured, a detection circuit 1 delivers a signal C at the rise of the pulse train B and signal D at the fall thereof. The signal C clears a counter 3 of the measuring pulse A and starts a timer 2, and by the change of the output E if the timer 2, FF4 is placed in a state of operation. In addition, the signal D turns to be a signal F through a gate 5 and, activating a register 6, makes the output H of the counter 3 latched. Next, by the return of the signal F, the output G of FF4 is inversed and a gate 5 is closed. The time limit TO of the timer 2 is a little larger than the period TP of the pulse train B. As the result, a register 6 retains an initial count value. |
