PISTON CYLINDER ARRANGEMENT AND IN PARTICULAR FOR USE IN HYDRAULIC SURVO-MOTOR

In a piston-cylinder arrangement wherein a rod (14) extends longitudinally through the cylinder (13) and the piston is displaceable relative thereto, the piston is mounted on the rod by a spherical bearing (21) and carries a piston ring (23) which has an outer part- spherical surface which bears against the wall of the cylinder, allowing the piston to tilt relative to the cylinder without any increase in the frictional force caused by contact between the piston ring and the cylinder. The piston is disclosed as coupled by a spring (16) to a main actuator piston (11) and serves to apply feedback via oil in space (17) to a valve controlling the main piston.
