The drive wheel for a motorcycle comprises spokes (20) extending radially from a hub (16). A sprocket (22) for the chain drive is mounted on the hub and carries, on one of its lateral faces, a coupling which with the spokes ensures that the sprocket and wheel rim rotate together. The coupling comprises an annular boss (28) formed on the inner face of the sprocket which incorporates notches (32) to receive the spokes. The spokes are held in the notches by a ring (38) positioned between the spokes and a flange (30) on the boss.
