<p>A panel of thermal/acoustic insulation matl. (I) is enclosed between covers of which at least one face is perforated and is surrounded by sealed borders having inlets for circulation of a warm or cool fluid which can permeate the panel. For lining walls, ceilings etc., to combine space heating with insulation. Pref. the core is of fibrous or woody matl. or porous foam, the covers are of rigid or flexible plastic sheet or film, and the borders are sufficiently firm to act as fluid distribution manifolds. Opt. the covers are stitched to cause warm air circulating between or beneath the covers to follow the chicane path along the length of the panel. The panels may be mounted on a support of particle board, fibreboard, plywood, etc.</p> |
