The socket spanner has a cranked handle (c,d) with a socket (a,b) on each extremity. The second socket (a) subtends an angle of between 100 and 110 degrees with the axis of the handle, the implement being equipped with a torque gauge (e) together with a screw driver blade lug (g) for removing hub caps. The angled socket may permit the implement to function as a spanner with a bent lever arm (r'), enabling the crank lever arm (r) to be increased by between 2.5 and three times.
