<p>PURPOSE:To easily check and remove a paper jam in a paper feeder of a copying machine or the like, by turnably providing a manual feed intermediate paper guide between upper and lower paper feed mechanisms one end of which is turnably and pivotally supported. CONSTITUTION:For occurrence of a paper jam, a copying machine upper unit 10A is opened to the direction Y. In this way, an upper paper guide 3A in an upper paper feed mechanism 1 is also opened together upward, and an intermediate guide 3B is left in the side of a lower unit 10B in a state with its end part in contact to the surface of a lower paper guide 3C. Said intermediate paper guide 3B is swivelled to the direction D with the supporting point of a pin 8, thus a paper form jammed between the guide 3B and the lower paper guide 3C can be easily removed. In this constitution, the paper jam can be easily checked and removed.</p> |
