A crankpin (6) is pivotable through 180 DEG into a locking position and an unlocking position. A connecting rod (7) connects a slide (12) to the crankpin (6). A sliding pin (8) on the slide (12) is guided slideably in a longitudinal guide (9) in the gear casing (4). The connecting rod (7) has a connecting-rod extension (13) projecting beyond the sliding pin (8). This connecting-rod extension (13) reaches, at least in the basic position to be secured, up to a plane (11) passing through the crank axis (3) and the two switching positions of the crankpin (6). In the basic position of the gear, the connecting-rod extension bears with a sliding curve (14) against a supporting stop (15) arranged in the plane (11) between the end portion (14') and the crank axis (3) and located on the casing (4). <IMAGE>
