The saw is for cutting logs using a chain saw positioned on a frame. This is movable and has a frame which connects the saw by a covered cable to an accelerator lever under the saw fuel control. A frame supports the saw and a hand operated grip presses the log against the frame. The saw itself is acted on by a spring and returns to the same position each time a cut has been completed. The chain saw is fixed by two nuts.
