The invention relates to a reconstituted mica material, which is produced by forming sheets or plates from a suspension containing mica flakes which are produced by disintegrating unburnt mica, the suspension containing 1) mica flakes of a particle size of 1.0 mm or greater and a length/side ratio of 150 or greater, 2) mica flakes having a particle size of 0.25 mm or greater and less than 1.0 mm, and 3) mica flakes having a particle size of less than 0.25 mm in defined ranges. According to the invention, reconstituted mica prepreg materials, reconstituted mica products and insulated coils having outstanding mechanical and electrical properties are produced.
