PURPOSE:To improve the adhesiveness of an electron emitting material to an electrode constitutional member, by heating the multiple oxide electron emitting material of at least two kinds of rare earth metals at high temperature in a vacuum. CONSTITUTION:An electrode constitutional member is formed by providing an inside coil 9 and outside coil 10 to an electrode core wire 8. To aqueous solution containing at least two kinds of rare earth metal ions, aqueous solution containing a negative ion causing deposition by the reaction with those ions is added, in this way a precipitate is produced and heated in the air to obtain a multiple oxide of rare earth metal, and then a suspension of said oxide is applied to the electrode constitutional member, and its heat treatment is performed at high temperature in a vacuum, thus an electron emitting material 11 is formed. |
