PURPOSE:To perform automatic, effective collation of a seal print on a bill, a check, etc., by retrieving microfilms, etc., wherein the seal prints to be collated are filed. CONSTITUTION:A seal print 2, a print 3 of a company-name and a person's name seal, and a compan seal 4 on a form P, such as a bill and a check, are read by an image sensor 5 and inputted to a digital collator 10. Registered seal prints stored in a microfilm, etc., in advance are retrieved, on the basis of discrimination codes inputted from a discrimination code input device 6, from a registered picture file 8 by a retrieval device 7. Readout registered seal-print pictures are read by an optoelectric converting circuit 9 and inputted to the collator 10. The collator 10 performs picture processing to make decidions by collation. Further, a form carriage and a classification device are used in combination to constitute a more efficient seal-print collator. |
