PURPOSE:To make the soaking of a cylindrical test piece and the reduction in size of a heating furnace possible by installing two sets of levers having detecting ends respectively at their leading ends on the inner side of the test piece by leaving an axial distance in such a way as to take mutually torsional positions. CONSTITUTION:Two sets of levers are provided in the two gage mark positions spaced in the cylindrical axial direction on the inside circumference of a cylindrical test piece perpendicularly to the axial center in such a way as to take mutually torsional positions, and detecting ends are mounted to the respectively leading ends of the levers. Arms are mounted respectively in parallel to the axial center to the respective levers, and from the extent of their relative movement, the displacements in the axial and torsional directions of the test piece are determined. For example, the respective detecting ends mounted to the respective leading ends of two sets of displacement detecting levers 2, 3 are brought in abutment with the gate marks A and B on the inside circumference of a cylindrical test piece 6, and the extent of the relative displacements between these is measured with arms 4, 5, whereby the soaking of the test piece and the reduction of the size of the heating furnace are made possible as compared to the case of disposing the detecting parts on the outer side of the test piece. |
