Utilisation of rumen contents e.g. for animal feed - by concentrating to 50 per cent solids content, drying, and comminuting, defatting and/or treating with additives

In the utilisation of rumen contents, the rumen contents are concentrated to a solids content of ca 50 wt.%, the conc. prod. is dried, and the dried material, if desired, is finely comminuted and/or defatted and/or treated with usual additives, and subsequently brought into a suitable form of presentation. Conversion of rumen contents into a form suitable for use in animal feeds. Simple and economical process which avoids the use of large volumes of water and does not involve pollution of waste waters. The product has improved storage stability.
