摘要 <p>An ozone generator (3) is located in the air inlet line (1) between the air drier (8) and the air filter (2). The inlet line has a spiral plate to cause eddying or turbulence in the incoming air. Alternatively, the ozone generator is connected to the air inlet line via a hole passing through their adjacent walls. The ozone generator consists of a stainless steep casing acting as cathode and enclosing a dielectric coated in metal acting as anode. The air gap between the dielectric and the casing forms the discharge space. Air is admitted radially into the discharge space and the ozone/air mix passes radially out of the space at the opposite end to the air inlet. Cooling air is allowed to flow axially through the generator. The ozone generator, the drier and the air filter may form a single unit. The advantage lies in greater efficiency through more complete combustion.</p>
