Control circuit for stepping motor - has excitation divided into two sections and voltage detector stage with changeover switch for alternate soil section

The control circuit is for a stepping motor which can be used in a clock or watch. The excitation winding of the motor is divided into two winding sections. The winding sections are controlled alternately by a control stage. The power consumption is low. There is a voltage detector stage (17) which can be connected to the winding section (1,2) that is not being excited. The changeover switches (13,14) are solid state devices switched by the control stage. The excited winding section is switched off when a given voltage appears across the unexcited winding section.
