The handgrip has resistance heating wire (4) wound in a helix around it. The wire sits in grooves in the surface of the handgrip. The grooves are then filled with electrically insulating material. Alternatively, the wire may be embedded in the material of the handgrip eg. embedded in a helical ridge projecting from the main part of the handgrip. The ends of the wire pass into the hollow tubular part (1) on which the handgrip is mounted. The system enables the doctors hand to be kept warm.
|
