<p>A magnetic tape cassette recorder has a built in facility for automatic switch over of the direction of tape travel. The contact roller (15) that transmits motion to the tape (19) by making contact with the tape capstan drive (16), is supported on the end of a two link (13,9) unit with spring (27) biasing. The bottom support (8) is located on a crossbar (6) that allows the roller to have one of two positions (15,15a) depending upon the drive direction. The crossbar is moved by a solenoid (1) that actuates a cam (3) with coupled pin (5) that engages in a slot (26) in the crossbar.</p> |
