<p>The fitting detachably secures components, particularly table sections, together, having a tapped portion in one component secured by a screwed rod to a fitting in the other. The tapped portion is a round nut (10) turning freely in a recess (7) in a socket body (5), and actuated by a screw (16) engaging tangentially with its periphery. At right angles to the recess is a drilling (6) through the body in line with the nut axis, and accommodating the screwed rod (15). The nut can have spiral-pattern transverse grooves formed in a peripheral groove of semicircular cross-section.</p> |
