<p>PURPOSE:To prevent or reduce the generation of wrinkles, a jam, etc., by constituting a device so that it is detected that the whole end of recording paper has been caught by a press-contact roller extending over its whole width, and after it has been caught, tensile force is put on the recording paper. CONSTITUTION:A paper tip detector 18 detects that recording paper 4 has arrived, just in front of a guide pin 17, and consists of an optical transmission type sensor, etc. It is operated by a control device that the whole width of the recording paper 4 has been caught by a press-contact roller, from a rotation speed of a driving shaft 14 of a rubber belt 13 for generating the tensile force to the recording paper, and a distance between the paper tip detector 18 and the press-contact roller of a fixing device 10. furthermore, the control device delays the time from a detecting signal of the paper tip detector 18 in accordance with the result of operation, increases a rotation speed of the press-contact roller of the fixing device 10, and operates tensile force on the recording paper between the fixing device 10 and the rubber belt 13. According to such a constitution, tensile force is put after the recording paper has been caught, therefore, generation of wrinkles, a jam, etc. is prevented or reduced.</p> |
