Method of production of electrically charged droplets (6) of water for reduction of air borne dust and to apparatus for achieving this. The problem of short circuiting is solved by using a long and narrow bored supply tube (1) of non-conductive material in conjunction with a high voltage generator (3) with high internal resistance and an insulated spray load. Variations include addition of a second fluid such as air or oil to decrease the conductivity of the water, the spraying of water into a charged deflector disc and the modulation of the amplitude of the applied voltage. |
