PURPOSE:To prepare a positive electrode which is free from moisture, cracks and breakage by kneading and making into a sheet, a mixture of the positive electrode black mix comprising iron disulfide powder, conductive material, and a binder at a specified temperature, and then forming it into the electrode. CONSTITUTION:A mixture of the positive electrode black mix comprising iron disulfide powder, conductive material powder such as graphite, and binder powder such as polytetrafluoroethylene is mixed, kneaded, and made into a sheet at a temperature in 200-320 deg.C range and formed it into a shape through, for example, punching process and then completed as a positive electrode 1. Either one of acethylene black metal powder such as silver, copper, is also used as a conductive material, and polyethylene is also used as a binder. For example, iron disulfide powder, graphite powder, polytetrafluoroethylene are mixed with a mixer at 280 deg.C for 2hr, kneaded with a keander at 220 deg.C for 20min, a pressed into a sheet with a roller at 200 deg.C, and then punched to be completed as an electrode 1. These processes can provide a positive electrode free from moisture, cracks and breakage with increased strength. |
