PURPOSE:To recognize character accurately by reading sample character written by a person who writes handwritten character information and writing them in a storgae device before reading the handwritten character information. CONSTITUTION:On a sample character slip SDCT, standard characters are printed at the upper stage and sample hadnwritten characters are written at the lower stage. The slip is read by a read part RDF to write the codes of the standard charcters and sample hand-written characters, corresponding then, in a storage device MEN by a writing means MCNT through a buffer BUF. Next, a hdndwritten character document HWCT is read by the read part RDG and the data is sent to a buffer RDF. A comparator CMP compares the information in the storage devide MEN with that in the buffer and when the two are coincident, corresponding character codes are sent out of a character code generation part CGEN. |
