PURPOSE:To prevent ingress of steel melt into the tuyere or generation of scattering loss of steel melt etc. by controlling an amount of gas blow according to the opening amount specified due to the valve flow coefficient of the flow adjusting valve in switching of blow gas in operation of the bottom blow converter. CONSTITUTION:When tilting of the converter for sampling of melt in switching of blow gas from oxygen to nitrogen or argon gas or for discharging steel melt is done after the carburization refining by oxygen blow at the bottom blow converter, ingress of melt into the tuyere due to the pressure shortage, scattering of melt to the furnace outside due to the overpressure and loss of blow gas are prevented by regulating the blow gas pressure. For this reason, the tuyere pressure loss at the converter tuyere is beforehand calculated, the flow adjusting valve pressure loss is asked by deducting the tuyere pressure loss from the gas pressure of the main at each time and further the valve coefficient of the flow adjusting valve is asked. By regulating the specified amount of opening due to this coefficient as the amount of opening of the flow adjusting valve the gas pressure at the tuyere is optimized and invasion of steel melt into the tuyere and melt scattering to the furnace outside are prevented. |
