The writing unit is for an automatic writing or drawing machine. It consists of a writing head, a filler unit, a control unit, and a supply system as necessary. The head (1), filler unit (2) and supply components (3,4) are easily interchangeable and detachable from each other and from the automatic machine. Each head can be connected by an ink pipe to a filler unit, the latter in turn being connected by a further pipe to the outlet from the control and supply unit (5). A single filler unit can be used to supply several heads.
