Control valve plunger sealing ring - fits in groove with raised portion on bottom surface

The sealing ring is for a control valve with one or more inlets and outlets for a medium under pressure, together with a selector plunger containing a peripheral groove for the ring. The bottom surface of the groove has a raised portion (5) extending at least part-way round the plunger periphery. The raised portion can be of constant height and situated symmetrically at the middle of the bottom surface, and can be of part-circular cross-section, while the sealing ring itself (4) can be of circular cross-section.
