PURPOSE:To realize the good atomization state all the time by a method wherein the higher the concentration of alcohol in fuel, the wider the opening of a controlling valve is open at such a type of engine, in which gasoline containing alcohol is used as fuel and the heated air is induced in the suction system through the controlling valve. CONSTITUTION:During the warming up or while the engine main body 5 is cold, a water temperature sensitive valve 33 is in a closed state and the negative suction pressure is applied through a negative pressure passage 23 to the negative pressure chamber 16 of a diaphragm mechanism 12, resulting in opening the controlling valve 11 nearlly full. Consequently, the high temperature air heated at an exhaust manifold 6 is supplied from a shroud 9 through a passage 10 to the suction system. On the other hand, after the end of the warming up, said valve 33 is open and at the same time an electronic controlling unit 28 is inputted from an alcohol sensor 27 so as to apply pulse signals, which decrease duty ratio in proportion to the increase of alcohol concentration in the fuel, to a solenoid controlled on-off valve 29. In such a manner as mentioned above, the air flow induced from a valve 31 to the negative pressure chamber 16 is regulated, resulting in opening the valve 11 in proportion to the concentration of alcohol in the fuel. |
