PURPOSE:To increase the distribution capacity of an optical distributor, by aligning two lenses on the same axis between two optical fibers and then providing a V- shaped mirror between these two lenses to extract the light to the optical fiber via the lenses. CONSTITUTION:An optical distributor includes optical fibers 11-14 forming 4 terminals, rod lenses 15 and 16, half-rod lenses 17 and 18, a V-shaped mirror 19 plus a full-reflection film 20 provided to the meridian lines of lenses 17 and 18, respectively. When the light is made incident through an optical fiber 11, this light is turned into parallel beams by the lens 15. A part of these parallel beams is reflected by the mirror 9 to be made incident to lenses 17 and 18. The beams made incident to the lenses 17 and 18 are condensed to optical fibers 14 and 13 respectively. While the beams which are not reflected by the mirror 19 are condensed to an optical fiber 12 by the lens 16. In the same way, the beams made indicent through the fiber 12 are branched to the optical fibers 11, 13 and 14, respectively. |
