A bearing arrangement for a telescopic cylinder of a tipping device for a vehicle, said cylinder comprising a plurality of cylinder tubes (2A, 2B) which are mounted axially slideably within each other pairwise by means of two bearing surfaces (5a, 6a) located between the cylinder tubes in each pair of cylinders. Both bearing surfaces are provided on the inner surface (2a) of the outer cylinder tube (2A) close to the mouth of the tube to remain at a constant distance from each other during a stroke. The outer surface (2b) of the inner cylinder tube (2B) is machined to form a sliding surface for said bearing surfaces. Due to this, the inner surface of the outer cylinder tube need not be machined to form a sliding surface and this increases the dimensional accuracy of the bearing arrangement and improves the stability of the telescopic cylinder. <IMAGE> |
