<p>PURPOSE:To prepare a water-based ink giving a marking trace having excellent water-resistance, and suitable for writing utensils, printing, recording instrument, stamp, jet printing, etc., by using a yellow acid dye having specific structure as the colorant singly or in combination with other dyes. CONSTITUTION:The objective water-based ink is prepared by adding a colorant composed of (A) an alkali metal salt of the compound of formula (Ar is substitutable aryl having one or more carboxyl groups; X is H or substitutable aryl) and optionally (B) other acid dyes and/or direct dyes, in water containing an organic solvent, etc. such as ethylene glycol, etc.</p> |
