<p>PURPOSE:To simply form a photo guide with good position accuracy by a method wherein an integrated circuit element composing a photo coupler is made with the shape falling at least at a part of the circumference part of a light receiving element section. CONSTITUTION:A light receiving element section 56 and a circuit system 58 connected to the light receiving element section 56 are formed on the same substrate and an integrated circuit element 59 composing the light receiving surface 57 with a height of 50mum or higher, for example, than a substrate surface section forming the circuit system 58 is fixed to a lead frame 60. And the light receiving surface 57 is arranged to face to a light emitting element 55. A light guide 61 consisting of a light penetration insulating material is formed between the light receiving surface 57 and the light emitting element 55. In forming the light guide 61, the floating and light-penetration insulating material will not extend as far as the substrate surface forming the circuit system 58 as the light-sensitive surface 57 is higher than the substrate surface. And positioning to the element 55 is easy at that time as the light receiving surface 57 is projected.</p> |
