PURPOSE:To machine a hole to high out of roundness, by sloping a wire electrode to a prescribed angle for a work, relatively shifting while rotating the work linearly to a prescribed distance for the electrode and performing electric discharge machining for the work during its said motion. CONSTITUTION:A work 1 is rotatably held by a drive roller 8 and driven rollers 9, 10 then rotatively driven by a pulse motor 7. A wire electrode 2 can be sloped to a prescribed angle by deflecting an upper electrode guide 4 through a micrometer head 5 to a prescribed amount. The work 1 is rotated by the pulse motor 7 while performing electric discharge machining work, simultaneously a table 3 is moved by a prescribed distance in accordance with the redius of a machined hole. In this case, one axis of the X or Y axis is only required for servo control, and the hole can be easily machined to high out of roundness. |
