The present invention provides Chlorambucil derivatives having the formula (I). (I) wherein R represents a hydrogen atom or an acyl group such as , , , and n is 1 or 2, which are antitumor agents having a selective effective against certain cancer cells. The Chlorambucil derivatives can be produced by binding Chlorambucil with the hydroxyl group at the 17-position of estradiol or its derivative in the presence of a binding agent selected from the group consisting of compounds having the formula X(CH2)nCOOH, X(CH2)nCOX, HOOC(CH2)n COOH and XOC(CH2)nCOX wherein n is 1 or 2 and X represents a halogen atom.
