PURPOSE:To facilitate the assembly of a connector by coupling a snap and a knob with each other by compressing the snap ring, which has flexibility in the radius direction throught the movement of the knob having a tapered part. CONSTITUTION:A ring 19, a spring 16 and a spring receiver 17 are inserted into a ferrule 15 equipped with a fiber cord 21 and after the spring receiver 17 is bonded to the ferrule 15, a snap ring 18 having flexibility in the radius direction is inserted into the ring 19. Then, the knob 20 is shifted as shown by the arrow to compress the snap ring 18 with a tapered part 22, thus fitting the tapered part 22 in the groove 23 of the knob 20. Consequently, coupling with the snap ring 18 is enabled only by moving the knob 20, so that assembly is facilitated to enable the connector to be assembled at an acutal spot while this is used as a simple connector for a data link. |
