<p>In a process for storing heat at low temperature, use is made of a first tank (1), which works as an accumulator feeding a heat exchanger or, possibly, being connected to an exchanger, and of a second tank (5) which is used on the one hand as a steam condenser and, on the other hand, as a water evaporator: this second tank is provided with a device pumping water and feeding fresh water thereto. The heat to be stored is conveyed, through a heat exchanger (3), to an aqueous solution of a substance having a very small partial pressure in the equilibrium vapor phase. The water evaporated by the heat transfer is condensed in the condenser and is eventually pumped away from the system. The substance dissolved in the aqueous solution (2) is enriched in the accumulator (1). Upon withdrawal of the heat stored from the accumulator, fresh water is evaporated by absorption of the ambient heat in the second tank (1); the solution remaining in the accumulator absorbs the steam by dissipating the condensation and dilution heat. The heat energy taken from the accumulator (1) through the heat exchanger (3) is used for feeding a consumer.</p> |
