A quick-change connection device for use in securing attachments to earth-moving machines, such as loading scoops, the device utilizing holding dogs and pawls, the pawls are pivotally mounted upon hubs secured to webs forming part of the connection, the arms of the hoist associated therewith are adapted to pivot axially in the bores of the hubs; and the centers of semi-circular recesses, serving to accommodate retaining pins of the loading scoop and arranged in the webs, and the centers of rotation of the pawls are associated with each other in such manner that the effective line of the reaction forces introduced by the loading scoop during operation of the machine passes through the centers of rotation of the pawls and the centers of the recesses or above the centers of the recesses as viewed in a machine operating position.
