This invention relates to the tape recorder whose cassette is fixed to the two hubs lest the tape in play should be wound into the capstun roller, and so on. In the cassette tape recorder, there are tape end detecting means which detects the tape to be wound up to the end of the reel and automatic control means which has the tape stopped automatically by detection of the end part detecting means of the tape when the tape is been transmitting, and tape relaxation detecting means which is posed between the capstun motor and the winding reel.
